Terms of Service
Last updated: Not yet published
This is placeholder content for a demonstration project. Before operating a real marketplace in Bangladesh, have these terms drafted and reviewed by a qualified lawyer, and provide them in Bangla as required by the Digital Commerce Operation Guidelines 2021.
1. About these terms
These terms govern your use of FastWedd ("the platform"), a marketplace that connects people planning events ("customers") with businesses providing event services ("vendors") across five categories: venue booking, photography & cinema, event management, food & beverage, and rent & buy. By creating an account, you agree to these terms.
2. Accounts
You must provide accurate information when registering and keep your login details secure. You are responsible for activity on your account. Customer, vendor and administrator accounts have different permissions, and attempting to access an area outside your role is a breach of these terms.
3. What the platform is and is not
FastWedd is an intermediary. We list services, take bookings and handle payment, but the service itself is delivered by the vendor. The contract for the event, the meal, the photographs or the rented equipment is between the customer and that vendor.
We verify the businesses that carry a verified badge, but verification is a check on identity and trading history — not a guarantee of the quality of any particular booking.
4. Bookings, quotes and payment
A request is not a booking. A vendor may accept a request and return a quote, decline it, or let it expire. No date is reserved and no money changes hands until the customer pays against a quote.
Prices shown on a listing are the vendor's own. A customer service fee, shown separately before payment, is added on top. Vendors pay a commission that is deducted from their payout — never added to the customer's total.
5. Vendor obligations
Vendors must keep listings accurate, honour confirmed bookings, hold any licences their category requires (including food-safety registration for catering), and respond to requests within a reasonable period. Listings that are misleading may be rejected or removed.
6. Cancellations and refunds
Cancellations are governed by our cancellation and refund policy, which forms part of these terms. Vendor payouts for a cancelled or disputed booking are placed on hold until the dispute is resolved.
7. Reviews
Only a customer with a completed booking may review it, and only once. We remove reviews that contain personal data, abuse or content unrelated to the booking. Vendors may reply publicly once per review.
8. Suspension
We may suspend an account that breaches these terms, misrepresents its services, or attempts to move a booking off-platform to avoid fees. Payouts already earned on completed bookings are still settled.
9. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our liability in connection with any booking is limited to the platform fees we received on that booking. We are not liable for a vendor's performance, for consequential loss, or for events outside reasonable control.
